A Sabbatical

If one rests on the seventh day, that’s called the sabbath.

If one rests in the seventh year, that’s a sabbatical.

I will be on sabbatical in 2019.

Wikipedia states:

“Sabbatical has come to mean any extended absence in the career of an individual in order to achieve something. In the modern sense, one takes sabbatical typically to fulfill some goal, e.g., writing a book or traveling extensively for research.”

During my sabbatical, I will be writing for an hour each day and painting acrylic paintings for 3 hours a day, in addition to practicing self-Reiki (both hands-on and distance) for 2 hours daily. I will be closing my office on December 10th in order to accomplish these goals. I am planning to attend 2 Reiki events to learn from global Reiki leadership in 2019.

I’m making this transition with gratitude for all the assistance and friendship Reiki has provided me. You can expect my return when I achieve my goals, all of which support my self-healing and professional development.

The purpose of this blog is to keep you informed of my activities and progress as I focus inward for this sabbatical.

Thank you for reading this. Please check back next month for my December post. Feel free to share this with others who may be interested.
